Donate Care Packages to Former Foster Youth
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
Contact OrganizerWe are looking for volunteers who would like to donate care packages to youth who have aged out of foster or who are preparing to leave foster care. Learning to navigate the adult world requires both support and community connections. As these young people move into dorms, apartments, and supportive living environments they need our help. Receiving a care package can help ease this transition and alleviate stress.
Below is a wish list of items for the care packages and attached is a flier with more detailed information.
Hygiene items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, and loofah sponge.
Laundry items such as plastic hangers, detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, iron, and ironing board.
School items such as an adult-size backpack, binders, folders, pens, pencils, and spiral notebooks.
Cleaning items such as a broom, dust pan, sponges, toilet and counter-top cleaners, and paper towels.
Bathroom items such as a small trash can, shower curtain/liner, bath mats, hand and bath towels, hand soap, and toilet paper.
Home items such as a toaster, utensils, dishes, coffee pot, and twin or full size sheets.
More information will be shared with volunteers who sign up.
